When Gideon approached AD with a big request of illustrating all 41 (+1) weeks of pregnancy, I knew it was time to scour every science book on the topic.
What makes this meditative journal different than every other in its category is the intent of representational accuracy and the dedication of illustrating every single week.
While most medical books only illustrate a couple of weeks of the gestational period, our aim breadth — we wanted to bring the unexpected element of imagery for every single week of gestation to help moms feel connected with their baby-on-the-way as they read through this book.

With the support of references, pediatric doctors, and trusted light-box, all 42 illustrations came to life resulting in a unique depiction of what it’s like being in the womb.
